Ryan Shernaman:

One of my personal favorite quotes comes from Walt Disney, “All the adversity I’ve had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” It helped me understand that we all have hard times, and through those times we are strengthened by the challenging times. That is how I look at bankruptcy. Nobody wants to go through it, however with the right individuals at your side, you can end up finding the greener pasture on the other side. I decided to do bankruptcy law to be able to help people going through those the challenging times. I greatly appreciate my clients and enjoy helping them, and still do today. I was raised in Columbia, Missouri and spent as much time as possible outside. It didn't matter whether it was snowing, raining, or perfect outdoors, I love it. During one of those rainy days my friends and I decided to race our bikes, and got incredibly sick, however it was worth every second. Ever Since I was two years old I have loved riding bikes, and began motocross racing at the age of five and fell in love with the sport. As an beginner, I won six Texas State Championships, 14 Missouri State Championships, and two California State Championships. While talking about things I love, I met my spouse Briana in high school, I was her geometry tutor, and I was only fifteen years old at that time. We got married when I was seventeen and started our family when I was twenty six.

I worked hard to earn my bachelors degree in sociology and criminology with Magna Cum Laude honors from Missouri State University in Springfield. collage was fun, but I set my goals to be able to assist people with that degree. Undergraduate degrees were just steps to be able to achieving those desires. I earned my Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Reflecting on my life, I realized the tough times, and obstacles in our lives are what make us to be what we are today, and persuade us to be the ultimate best version of ourselves. I make sure my clients know that some of the most successful people in the world have had huge trials in there life. In the end, Mr. Disney filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of his career and consider the legacy he left to the world!
